The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Office of Acquisition Services Division, Washington DC intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract to Authentix, Inc. a large business, under authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B) - Only One Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for development, maintenance, repair and advisory services for critical sensor systems "Quality Evaluation Detectors" (QEDs) on or about 01 April 2018. Applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219 and the size standard is $20.5M. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as a part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source for development, maintenance, repair and advisory services for critical sensor systems "Quality Evaluation Detectors" (QEDs). The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deems only one source reasonably available.
