R -- Additional Engineering Services for AN/ALQ-172

This acquisition is for additional engineering support for the AN/ALQ-172(V)1 ECP-93 and (V)3 Lowband Block Cycle 1, the AN/ALQ-172(V)2 ECMI Block Cycle 4, and AN/ALQ-172(V)2 ECMI Block Cycle 5, and other software projects and operational change requests. The approximate issue date will be 26 Jun 02, with the approximate response date of 15 Jul 02 (due to the need for immediate contract coverage). The solicitation will be issued sole source to: ITT Avionics, 100 Kingsland Rd, Clifton NJ 07014, Authority: 10 USC 2304 c (1), Justification: Supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above to for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreement, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
