R -- Administrative Support Services ; A-76 Commercial Activities Study

The Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, of the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) Number FNS-03-003-JTR on or about March 28, 2003 for nationwide administrative support services as part of their A-76 competitive Sourcing effort. This procurement will contain one base year and four option years. The projected period of performance for the firm requirement will be 12-months beginning on or about October 1, 2003. The option periods are expected to be successive 12-month periods. This effort is currently planned as a Total Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 561110 (Office Administrative Services). The Small Business Size Standard is $6M average annual gross revenue over the firm's preceding three fiscal years.The solicitation will be available through the World Wide Web: it will be the prospective contractor's responsibility to have the necessary electronic media to download the solicitation. A limited number of solicitation (Hard Copy) packages will be available for pick-up at the below address on or about March 28, 2003. They will be released on a first come first serve basis at scheduled times during normal core work hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m EST. Interested sources can make a request for pick-up of a hard copy of the solicitation to Joseph Rainey Sr., Contracting Officer, via mail to 3101 Park Center Drive, Room 220, Alexandria, VA 22302 and/or electronically to joseph.rainey@fns.usda.gov. Vendors are encouraged to provide these requests not later than COB 3/21/03 or as soon as possible to help facilitate and minimize the duplication process and expense. Requests for extensions to that due date will not be considered that are solely based on contractors receipt date of the RFP.
