The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), through its Program Contract Activity Central (PCAC), intends to award a sole source contract to the American Medical Association (AMA) for the renewal of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) License under solicitation number 36C77618Q9210. This action is justified under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), recognizing the AMA as the only responsible source capable of providing the required CPT license, which is essential for supporting electronic medical records, patient billing systems, and practice management systems utilized by the VA. The procurement falls under NAICS code 511120, with a Small Business Administration size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice is not a solicitation for competitive proposals nor does it provide a solicitation document, and telephone inquiries are not accepted. However, potential responsible sources who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations via email by the specified deadline of August 8, 2018, at 10:00 AM EST to the designated contract specialist, Lamonte Jones. The final decision to proceed without competition remains at the government’s discretion. The contracting office is located at 6150 Oak Tree Blvd., Suite 300, Independence, Ohio.
