The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price - Level of Effort contract for analytical and modeling support to Applied Research Associates of Albuquerque, NM under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Anticipated award date is 31 Mar 08. The North American Industry Classification System for this acquisition is 541330, small business size standard: $4.5 million. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 3 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Questions shall be submitted electronically to rodney.lewis@eglin.af.mil. An alternate contact is timothy.estrada@eglin.af.mil. The Air Force requires analytical and modeling support for its multi-hit program to help plan tests and verify test configurations for detonations of weapons embedded in bare concrete or soil covered reinforced concrete slabs.
