R -- Auction, Live for Motor Vehicles

Live Auction (ONLY) of U. S. Postal Service owned motor vehicles and those obtained by the Postal Inspection Service via forfiture. Types of vehicles to be sold includes sedans, pick up trucks, mini-vans, 1 and 2 ton trucks, 7 and 9 ton cargo vans, tractors and spotters and trailers. The number of vehicles to be auctioned is not known. The contractor must be able to pick up the vehicles from the Postal Service location and transport them to a secure facility. Cleaning, mechanical and body repair services must be available. However, need for these services by the Postal Service is considered limited. The live auction method is only one of several methods the Postal Service employs to dispose of its vehicles. The contractor must be capable of providing the live auction servcies on a national basis. Requests for copies of the solicitation package may be emailed to this office.
