Tudor Rd, Anchorage, Alaska. Alaska Waste has been selected for a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to provide uninterrupted weekly recycling pickup of various materials including office paper, magazines, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and shredded paper. The contract is issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with justification for a limited source, citing the need for non-interrupted service and Alaska Waste’s unique capacity to service the office while maintaining compliance with site-specific security regulations. The contractor must adhere to strict security and behavioral guidelines, including minimal interaction with building staff and maintaining a drug- and smoke-free environment. The contract was to be awarded on May 21, 2012, and inquiries may be directed to the Fish & Wildlife Service contact provided.
