This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Defense, specifically seeking input from industry regarding advisory and assistance services to support the SAF/NWI-CIO staff. It is important to note that this RFI is solely for planning and information-gathering purposes, and does not represent a solicitation, invitation for bids, or a guarantee of a contract. The Government is interested in feedback related to a draft Performance Work Statement that outlines services such as strategic and organizational planning, change management, requirements integration, program execution, and process engineering within the National Capital Region. Respondents should be capable of providing personnel with current Secret security clearances and must include details about their company, such as size status, NAICS codes, small business status, and any existing GSA contracts. The RFI encourages submissions of non-proprietary information, though proprietary material will be protected if properly identified. Responses are due by 3:00 PM EST on February 10, 2005, and communication is limited to written inquiries sent electronically to specified contracting officials. The information collected will support a potential future acquisition strategy, possibly leading to an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a firm-fixed price and labor hour schedule spanning five years. An anticipated Request for Proposals may be issued around August 2005, with contract performance expected to begin in January 2006. No solicitation or offer requests will receive responses at this stage.
