The General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS) intends to make an award under Commercial Items, FAR Part 12 with the firm of Genscape, Inc., Louisville, KY. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Description of services is as follows: To obtain a one-year subscription to Genscape's real time electricity generation plant monitoring service. The monitoring service provides the following benefits: (1) expert industry knowledge of plant generation status and directional power flow; (2) useful for predicting market pricing of deregulated electricity markets; and (3) provides important energy information during times of grid disruption due to natural or other disasters. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The NAICS code is 519190. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
