This contract is in response to an approved request to ratify an unauthorized commitment (UAC) in accordance with Department of Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 801.602- 3 Ratification of unauthorized commitments. The Acting Assistant Director of Budgeting (AADB) received a request for American Sign Language (ASL) services to support the Chief of Compensation Services' attendance and participation in an off-site meeting and associated learning sessions for the Senior Leadership of Compensation Service. The off-site meeting and learning sessions occurred on 30 and 31 August 2023 in Washington, D.C. Vendor Purple Communications, Inc. provided the service at the request of a member of the compensation services who was not authorized to do so and subsequently submitted an invoice for payment. The HCA has reviewed the facts associated with the UAC ratification request and approved government payment of the invoice submitted by Purple Communications, Inc. This is not a solicitation for responses indicating interest, for questions, or for capability statements. The government will not respond to any response communications. The Government will issue a contract for services to the vendor cited as stated above.
