JUSTIFICATION: The Optimux 1553 and Optimux 25 provide DS3 and DS1 multiplexing to extend the ESSC T3 and backhaul T1 circuits to our classified and unclassified networks. Continued service support for this equipment is essential for the ESSC to be able to provide the services it offers without interruption. IMPACT: The RAD Equipment serves as the main hub of the ESSC connectivity to the Global Information Grid 9GIG). It is where all the circuit connections for the Classified and Unclassified networks are made. Without a current connectivity to the outside world will be at risk and the war fighter tactical Data Networks (TDN’s) will be heavily impacted.
