This project involves the installation of four bilingual site-specific area maps at the San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area in Gustine, California, to provide visitor orientation and water safety information. The work is divided across three locations: the San Luis Reservoir Sector Headquarters, the Los Banos Creek Area, and the San Luis Creek Area. Each installation requires specific site preparation, including excavation, the pouring of slip-resistant concrete landings, and the creation of concrete walkways to ensure connectivity with existing ADA paths. The structural components for the maps consist of 6x6 redwood support posts and framed roofing systems finished with timberline HDZ hickory asphalt shingles and ridge caps. Specific tasks include relocating existing trash receptacles, removing asphalt, and installing map panel inserts. The project is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, with Andrew Collum serving as the primary point of contact.
