Full Description

The United States Air Force (USAF) within the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Range and Network Directorate (SMC/RN) is seeking market research to determine capable industry sources for the Range Communications Facility relocation of capability future effort. Background: SMC/RN Program Office has identified the requirement to develop and execute a project for relocating existing communications and administrative systems located in the X/Y Building to a newly constructed building called the Range Communications Facility (RCF), at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS). The communications systems and equipment that make up the X/Y Building's communication node provide support for all launch operations and daily administration of the Eastern Range (ER). ER systems include, but are not limited to, the following communication systems: Local Area Networks (LANs), Public Address (PA), Aural Warning, Weather Information Network Display System (WINDS), Administrative Telephone, Television Systems, Data Transport Systems, Microwave Systems, Two-Way Radio Frequency Systems and other government/contract communication services. These communication capabilities must be preserved in order for the ER to continue to meet mission objectives and user obligations.
