Rangoon CMR Ceiling Replacement

The U.S. Embassy Rangoon is soliciting qualified contractors to replace asbestos ceiling panels with gypsum ceiling boards in the Chief of Mission Residence compound located at 6.5 miles Prome Road, Mayangone Township, Yangon, Burma, under solicitation number 19BM8026Q0007. The scope of work involves furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the ceiling replacement across approximately 1,310 square feet, including insulation, framing, reinstallation of lighting, and painting to fully restore the original function and appearance. Asbestos removal is excluded and will be handled by OBO subject matter experts. The contract is a firm-fixed-price arrangement with a 25-working-day performance period from the Notice to Proceed, requiring commencement within five calendar days and full completion no later than 35 days after NTP. All work must comply with U.S. codes including ASTM, 2024 IBC, IMC, IPC, NEC, OBO International Zoning Code, and MNBC 2025, and materials must be newly sourced unless otherwise specified and approved by Embassy CH/FM representatives.
