Solicitation # 09112026
The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville (UAF) issued solicitation 09112026 for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program Services to secure a term contract for two years with two optional renewal years. The objective was to engage a qualified firm to provide cybersecurity advisory, architecture, engineering, and compliance services to mature the university's CMMC program. The scope focused on achieving compliance with CMMC Levels 1, 2, and 3 to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The procurement process included several modifications, such as the addition of a 2 million dollar Professional Liability insurance requirement and extensions to the proposal deadline. Evaluation criteria were weighted toward the technical proposal (40 points), respondent qualifications (30 points), and cost (30 points). However, on October 19, 2026, the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville officially cancelled RFP 09112026 via Addendum 3. This cancellation was prompted by changes in federal guidance that necessitated a reassessment of the procurement scope, with the university intending to issue a new solicitation once requirements are clarified.

The Valley Metro Rail, Inc., in partnership with the Regional Public Transportation Authority, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to explore potential solutions for providing real-time train and bus tracking information to customers through data messaging boards. These signs are expected to display route details and estimated arrival times, preferably utilizing a schematic representation of train movements. Currently, the agency is procuring real-time data software from Swiftly, which will transmit route and schedule data via cloud-based systems to the messaging boards. The goal is to enhance passenger experience by offering accurate, up-to-date arrival information and connecting route details to facilitate better trip planning. The RFI seeks a broad spectrum of information from interested parties regarding available goods, services, and technological solutions—whether standalone or integrated—that can meet the agency’s needs. Submissions are encouraged even if they address only part of the described requirements. This initiative is solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a binding solicitation or guarantee future procurement actions. All costs incurred by respondents in preparing their submissions are their own responsibility. The project has a budget range between $500,000 and $2,000,000, and interested parties can contact Christopher Balderrama at Valley Metro for further details or to submit their responses before the deadline of September 4, 2024.
