Synopsis: The Federal Bureau of Prisons at USP Canaan intends to award a sole source contract to the following: Tymetal Corp located at 678 Wilbur Ave, Greenwich, NY 12834; under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(ii) Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract. This intended award will follow policies and procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Bureau of Prisons requires Tymetal Corp. to provide OEM parts to upgrade/rebuild the Rear Gate PLUSS which includes but is no limited to replacement, parts, components, motors, hardware, labor and all supplies necessary. Tymetal is the original manufacturer and installer of the existing PLUSS Gate system and has intimate knowledge of the workings of this system. The Bureau of Prisons at USP Canaan intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase on or about February 21, 2017 to Tymetal Corp. The estimated amount of this award will be $55,000 based upon the governments estimate. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by written response by 11:00 am (EST) February 20, 2017. Capability statements must contain sufficient detail that clearly demonstrates the contractor's capabilities and the ability to comply with above requirement.
