This award notice concerns a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for the procurement of AH-64 Apache Tool Kits, identified by National Stock Number 5180-01-572-1858. The contract, solicited under number SPRRA110R0002 and categorized under NAICS code 332212 for sets, kits, and outfits of hand tools, was managed by the Department of Defense through the DLA Aviation office located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The procurement was conducted as an other than full and open competition, with Walin Tools LLC identified as the sole approved source. This determination was based on specific engineering restrictions and a lack of available technical data that would allow other sources to provide the required tool kits. The justification for this single-source award was established in September 2009 to ensure the continued availability of specialized equipment for the AH-64 Apache aircraft.
