(RECOVERY ACT) The National Institute on Aging, IRP intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a competitive basis (far 12.1, 12.102) a Polymer Hypoxic Glove Box, Humidified Incubation Box, Catalyst Box, and Desiccant. This equipment will be used in the Laboratory of Neurosciences at the National Institute of Health/National Institute on Aging at 251 Bayview Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21224. Interested persons may indentify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to July 13, 2009 will be considered by the Federal Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 16.2 using competitive procedures. Theses procedures include those indentified under Subparts 6.1, 6.2 (Full and Open Competition and Full and Open Competition after Exclusions of Sources), and FAR Section 16.505(b) (1). The solicitation number is FAC-135, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions clauses are those in which the FAR has amended to incorporate for the use in RECOVERY ACT actions FAR Subpart 5.7 for pre-solicitation and award notices.
