RECOVERY ACT - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER GSA MOBIS 874 SCHEDULE. The Forest Service Acquisition Management Director in the Washington Office (WO-AQM) has the responsibility to lead and manage the acquisition staffs in their efforts to support both the standard Forest Service mission and the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) mission. This includes all areas of acquisition: procurement, grants and agreements. In addition, AQM has embarked on a thirty-month change management program called AQM2011. AQM 2011 will improve AQM standardization and consistency, accountability, and communications activities, in accordance with direction from the FS National Leadership Council (NLC). The increase in acquisitions in the field due to ARRA and the efforts of AQM 2011 are overextending the Acquisition Policy and Systems (APS) staffs. AQM-APS needs short-term support in order to facilitate the performance of this combined mission. This support varies from policies and procedures to oversight and performance measures, all of which must be both accurate and timely in order to be successful. The contractor will provide support to the Assistant Director, Acquisition Policy and Systems (AD-APS). The contractor will provide administrative and technical expertise to facilitate the AD's successful management of the acquisition policy and systems of the Forest Service.
