The report will encompass comprehensive structural assessments of the jetties both above and below water, including spurs and roots, alongside detailed wave, current, and sediment transport analyses using engineering methods and numerical modeling to assess project performance and shoreline conditions. Additionally, the MMR will review navigational usage through the inlet, evaluate historical project performance, and present a thorough discussion on maintenance and repair recommendations needed to sustain operational levels. The study will also develop and assess multiple repair and design alternatives, including optional measures aimed at improving jetty function and performance. This effort aligns with government requirements under NAICS code 541330 and is managed from the Portland District office, supporting ongoing infrastructure maintenance and enhancement efforts for coastal navigation and shoreline protection.
