THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS WITH EXISTING IDIQ CONTRACTS RESULTING FROM SOLICITATION AG-0276-S-09-0049, FOREST WIDE TRAIL DEFERRED MAINTENANCE ON THE CLEARWATER AND NEZ PERCE NATIONAL FORESTS. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Task Announcement numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0488 on or about August 20, 2010, for the RECOVERY Clearwater National Forest Deferred Trail Maintenance Project. This Task Announcement will not be released through this FedBizOpps website but will be individually transmitted to all holders of the aforementioned IDIQ contracts. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This project includes performing deferred trail maintenance consisting of Logging Out, Loose Rock Removal, Drainage Maintenance, and Brush Cutting on approximately 170 miles of wilderness and non-wilderness trails. PROJECT LOCATION. The project sites are located on the Clearwater, Salmon River, Red River and Moose Creek Ranger Districts on the Nez Perce National Forest and the North Fork Ranger District on the Clearwater National Forest. PARTICIPATION. This is a competitive acquisition open only to holders of existing IDIQ contracts resulting from solicitation AG-0281-S-09-0049, Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forest, Forest-Wide Deferred Trail Maintenance contracts.
