TAS::57 3404::TAS ARRA XUMU 08-1439B, Replace Roof at COCES, Bldg 11152, fully funded by Recovery Act. The intent of this project is to replace the roof at COCES, Bldg 11152, at VAFB, CA. The existing built up roofing system shall be removed down to the wood deck. The building and its contents shall remain in a watertight condition at all times. The existing siding perimeter soffit that is warping away from the facility shall be repaired/removed and be replaced with new siding to match. The necessary counter flashing and backing material for a water tight seal between the siding joints for the soffit area shall be provided. Siding shall be painted to match the existing building color scheme. The existing wood deck shall be overlaid with plywood sheathing and a new four ply built up roof system applied. The new roof system shall consist of a three ply membrane with a modified bitumen cap sheet and or torch applied cap. The roof system shall include all roof penetration flashings, metal gravel stops and all accessories for a complete system. There are three mechanical units in the facility that require venting. Appropriately sized vent piping, fittings and caps shall be installed on these units. Contractor will remove 100 square feet of asbestos containing materials on facility roof.
