Recycling Contractors For A Wood Stove Recycling Program

The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is soliciting qualifications from experienced metal recycling facilities to provide wood stove recycling services for its Wood Stove Recycling Program. Operating across King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties in Washington, the program aims to improve regional air quality and public health by removing older, polluting wood stoves and coal-burning devices. Selected contractors will be responsible for the collection and permanent destruction of eligible devices for scrap material recovery, providing digital documentation and photographs of each transaction via an online portal within five business days. The expected period of performance begins on or before September 8, 2025, and continues through June 30, 2027.
