Redhawk Golf Course Specific Plan Amendment

The City of Temecula is processing a Specific Plan Amendment and Conditional Use Permit for the Redhawk Golf Course to expand the permitted uses of its existing outdoor Pavilion. While currently limited to golf-related events, the proposed project would allow the facility to host weddings, banquets, corporate meetings, and other private events. To manage the impact of these activities, the project limits events to no more than three times per week, though some analysis suggests a threshold of up to four times weekly with amplified sound ending by 9:45 p.m. and operations concluding by 10:00 p.m. Environmental assessments conducted under the California Environmental Quality Act have resulted in a Draft Initial Study and a Mitigated Negative Declaration. These documents identify noise as a primary area of concern for surrounding residential areas and establish a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program to ensure compliance with the City of Temecula Noise Ordinance. Specific measures include limiting amplified speaker noise to 84 dBA Leq at 50 feet. The project is being managed by the City of Temecula and Kimley-Horn and Associates, with a public review period scheduled from June 30, 2025, to July 30, 2025.
