Full Description

Provide all materials, labor, equipment and transportation necessary to clean and inspect one centrifugal compressor rotor. Based on the condition of the rotor, components shall be refurbished or replaced to make a usable rotor, at the direction of the Government. The rotor is an Allis-Chalmers (GEOG) model VZ1903 centrifugal rotor of riveted construction, part number 16-534-618. The rotor was used until the early 1970's when it was covered with a protective coating and placed in storage. The rotor has been stored outside while sitting on the wheels to avoid rotor bow and potential damage to the journals. The contract performance period will be approximately 112 calendar days. A complete solicitation, including Request for Proposal and Statement of Work, will be posted at this site on or about 12 August 2011. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available and requests for such will be disregarded.
