The 502nd Contracting Squadron at JBSA-Lackland, Texas, intends to award a sole source contract to Workplace Resource LLC for the Reid Clinic Reupholstering Project. This action is being taken under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 because the vendor already has equipment established at Wilford Hall Medical Center. The government has determined that installing new equipment from a different provider would cause operational downtime, creating an unacceptable risk to patient safety. The project falls under NAICS Code 541410 with a small business size standard of 7 million dollars. While this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, the agency will consider proposals from other responsible sources if submitted via email or fax to the designated points of contact by the specified deadline. The final decision to compete the procurement remains at the sole discretion of the government, and no payment will be provided for submitted information.
