Location:Last Mountain Lake, SaskatchewanTwo Phase Selection Process:This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase competition. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders. The second phase, (Phase Two), will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase Two, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation.Work Description:Purpose:The building needs intervention to be reinforced to maintain stability and safety of its operation.Objective:The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment, required to mitigate the structural issues found in the existing building at the Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area, located Simpson, Saskatoon, P.O Box 280, S0G 4M0, Last Mountain Lake NWA.The existing barn, approximately 100 years old, used for storage of materials to carry out operations at the Preserve has experienced structural stability issues, the structure is "leaning", foundations are heaving and structural framing members are overstressed with "deflection" and other issues requiring remedial work and improvements to return the aging barn to a safe and stable condition for continuing operations.The barn area is (1360 sf) 126.4 m2, 34 ft x 40 ft wide at both the 2nd level oriented North South, single level with accessible upper hay loft and ground level lean-to 15 ft x 40 ft long structure attached and accessible to the barn ground floor area, located on West side of the barn. The existing foundations consist of the original shallow concrete footing and "newer replaced", grade supported interior concrete floor in the lower level barn area. The structural assessment report will be provided in the second stage of the tender. Site Visit:There will be no scheduled site visit.Delivery Date:The Contractor must perform and complete within 12 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.Estimated Value:To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00 (taxes excluded).Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
