The IRS has issued a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) to gather information and conduct market research for a potential contract to provide re-key lock services for the Houston North IRS Building. This notice is strictly for planning purposes and does not constitute a request for proposal or guarantee of contract award. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements aligned with the Draft Performance Work Statement, demonstrating their qualifications and capacity under NAICS code 423710, which covers hardware merchant wholesalers. Respondents should include detailed company information such as Unique Entity Identifier, business size classification, applicable Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) like GSA Schedule or NASA SEWP, and specify if the products offered are made in America. Proprietary information must not be included in the submissions. Responses are limited to a six-page capability statement, including a cover letter, and must be submitted electronically in PDF or Word format by 12:00 PM EDT on May 28, 2026, to the designated IRS contact. All submissions become the property of the IRS and costs incurred for responses will not be reimbursed. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside, aiming to encourage participation from eligible small business categories. Respondents are also asked to confirm their interest in the requirement and willingness to provide a quote or proposal should the IRS proceed to a formal solicitation phase. The primary point of contact for this SSN is Nia Dickerson, and the effort is to identify capable vendors ahead of any potential procurement actions for re-key lock services at the Houston location.
