AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the procurement of 141 units of solid state relays, identified by NSN 5945-01-643-3510, with a delivery timeline of 186 days from the date of award. The items must be manufactured in compliance with detailed technical and quality requirements specified in the Defense Logistics Agency's master list, including adherence to MIL-STD packaging and marking standards. Special care is required to ensure no intentional addition or direct contact with mercury or mercury-containing compounds in the hardware, except for certain authorized uses such as batteries or specified instruments. The contract emphasizes strict compliance with cybersecurity standards, specifically a CMMC Level 2 self-assessment, and the handling of covered defense information as outlined in federal regulations. Additionally, vendors must apply specific unit package markings following industry standards (IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609) to identify lead content and other material attributes. The contract stipulates that only vendors with access to limited rights data should quote, as the government cannot provide this proprietary information. Inspection and acceptance will occur at the origin of shipment, and all packaging must conform to MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA packaging requirements to ensure proper preservation and handling. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense's Maritime Supply Chain office, with a designated point of contact available for queries.
