The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) is soliciting sealed bids for a project involving the removal of sediment from specific areas of the Upper Rio Grande in Sierra County, New Mexico. The work entails excavating sediment from the river channel and either stockpiling it on the floodplain or loading it onto USIBWC dump trucks for removal by USIBWC personnel, with no offsite hauling or disposal planned. The project, falling under NAICS Code 237990, is estimated to cost between $1 million and $5 million and will be conducted under a firm-fixed-price contract with a completion timeframe of 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, including demobilization. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted around July 26, 2019, with a mandatory site visit date provided within the solicitation documents. It will remain open for at least thirty calendar days, allowing all qualified small businesses to submit bids under a total small business set-aside provision.
