Full Description

The Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD) on behalf of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under FAR 6.302 and 13.106-1 with Xerox Capital Services, LLC for the renewal lease of the Xerox 4590 Enterprise Printing System for the period of 10/01/11 - 09/30/12. The Xerox enterprise Printing System produces bulk printed output of letter quality. Copies are printed for mainframe users using mission critical applications, such as, FINDRS and EXAMINER VIEW. The Xerox 4590 channel is attached to the OCC mainframe computing environment and is a functioning part of the daily OCC production computer operation and its continued use is required in order to avoid adverse disruption to ongoing mission critical application systems. Any responses received as a result of this notice, shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. Responses will NOT be considered as either proposals or bids. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon any written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
