Repair and Maintenance of Avtron Test Stands Kadena AFB

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 526th EMXS of Kadena AFB located in Okinawa Japan has an immediate need for maintenance support of the Avtron Test Stands and the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to the contractor (Avtron Aerospace). The solicitation will posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number FA8224-14-Avtron-Kadena This is a Combined Synopsis/ Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in and attached to this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Proposals will be evaluated on technical capability and price. The contractor must have the expertise as well as all associated technical data to be able to meet the service requirements listed in sec. 1.1, 2.1. and 3.1 of the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The government does not own and cannot provide any technical data related to the machines requiring service. Anticipated period of performance will be one year from date of contract inception.
