This synopsis is to announce that the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (ALC), Robins AFB, GA, intends to solicit and negotiate, on a sole source basis, services to perform repair of two NSNs applicable to the APY-1/2 A6 system as follows:. NSN Nomenclature - 2 year requirement: BASIC YEAR: 5996-01-112-6541 Amplifier Assembly: 12 each 5996-01-487-7323 Amplifier Assembly: 12 each OPTION I: 5996-01-112-6541 Amplifier Assembly: 15 each 5996-01-487-7323 Amplifier Assembly: 15 each The Government intends to solicit Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (CAGE: 97942), 1580A W Nursery Road, Linthicum Heights MD 21090-2202, for the services described herein. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The instant contract is anticipated to be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type instrument with provisions for Firm Fixed Price repair Contract Line Items (CLINs). The approximate award date is 30 June 2015. A solicitation will be issued on or about 9 Feb 2015. This proposed repair contract is for a basic twelve month ordering period, with one twelve month option period. This synopsis is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government, or as a Request for Proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a Statement of Capabilities to Charles Harris at Charles.Harris.3@us.af.mil. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the instant contract based upon an assessment of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors not sufficiently addressed by the Contracting Officer. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
