The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of repairing and overhauling hydraulic Flight Control Servoactuators for the B2 Weapon System. This effort also aims to establish an organic capability within the Air Force to perform full overhauls independently in the future. Interested companies must be prepared to enter into a direct sales partnership that allows them to support repair and overhaul services according to schedule while transferring full overhaul capability to government personnel, who will perform labor using government equipment and facilities. The contractor is responsible for providing all required materials, parts, engineering support, technical assistance, training, and data to support this transition. Additionally, the contractor must hold necessary licensing agreements with the original equipment manufacturer to access all proprietary data, including military-specific modifications. Engineering support services required include detailed design and maintenance engineering, systems engineering, technical analysis, flight safety analysis, reliability assessments, and logistics support such as supply chain management and parts forecasting. The contract outlines specific yearly repair and overhaul requirements for several component part numbers, with quantities varying annually over a five-year period. The work will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and government personnel will ultimately perform overhaul labor with contractor support focused on materials, data, and engineering services. The Air Force seeks a partnership to ensure the timely repair and overhaul of these critical components while building internal sustainability and capability.
