Full Description

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order with ETS Lindgren, L. P. (ETS) for EuroPro Turntables repair servicers. ETS will provide for the repair of the turntable and controller used in the Commission's anechoic chamber located in Columbia, MD. The repair will include the replacement of the motorbase used in the turntable. The period of performance for this effort is for 60 days from date of award. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. The authority for negotiating a sole source bases is made under 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1 which permits soliciting from a single source, if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811213. Any challenges to this sole source requirement must be received by November 07, 2012, NO later than 1:00pm Washington D.C. local time, in writing, and sent to gary.klaff@fcc.gov to be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. Challenges must include information sufficient to enable the Government's needs as stated herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If the FCC identifies no other capable sources by 1:00p.m Washington D.C. local time on November 07, 2012, the FCC will issue a Firm-Fixed Price Contract to ETS-Lindgren, 1301 Arrow Point Part, Cedar Park, TX, 78613-6936.
