The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS)/Pacific West Area (PWA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm-fixed price contract for the replacement of elevator(s). The location of work is the Western Regional Research Center (WRRC), 800 Buchanan Street Albany, CA 94710 in Alameda County. This procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors. The small business size standard is $16.5M. Principal components of the work include: 0001 BASE Line Item: Modernize a traction passenger elevator (Passenger Elevator No. 3) System Configuration (configuration is unchanged from the existing elevator(s) unless noted otherwise): Car Capacity: 4,000 pounds, No. of Car Openings: 1 opening, Car Door Operation: Two Speed Automatic doors, No. of Landings: 04 landings, Hall Door Operation: Automatic two speed doors. No paper copy of this solicitation or construction drawings will be distributed.
