The State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, through the Division of Innovation and Education Excellence, issued a Request for Information on December 1, 2025, to gather data on the development of a statewide comparative government and civics education curriculum. The scope includes the creation of a civics assessment and a civics project-based assessment aligned with Senate Bill 23. Specifically, the civics assessment must feature 100 questions based on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalization examination, with a passing threshold of 70 percent or higher for both the assessment and the project-based component. Interested vendors must submit their responses by December 11, 2025, to Procurement Officer Disney Ramos via email. Submissions should include proposed project schedules, timelines, a detailed scope of work, and a narrative of the vendor's qualifications and experience. Additionally, vendors must provide proposed costs for each deliverable, including the expenses associated with convening Alaska educator and stakeholder groups for feedback. As this is an RFI, it is intended for market research and budget planning and does not obligate the state to a purchase or extend specific rights to prospective vendors.
