The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information from respondents regarding their potential ability to provide a translation solution based on cutting edge technologies. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is interested in systems capable of translating the meteorological jargon in alerts with high fidelity (no loss of language quality in both Canadian French and English), which provides, at a minimum, support for translations between Canadian French and Canadian English. ECCC also wishes to explore innovative multi-language solutions capable of translations to Indigenous languages such as Inuktitut and its dialects.
