This market research activity conducted by the Department of the Army through the Army Contracting Command Detroit seeks industry input on the potential procurement of a Dog Bone Chain identified by NSN 2590-01-134-1848 and classified under NAICS code 336992. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather data on vendor capabilities, manufacturing expertise, business size, commercial availability, and delivery capacity to inform future acquisition strategies. The notice emphasizes that responses are solely for market research and do not constitute a solicitation or guarantee of a contract award. The RFI is set aside exclusively for small businesses under a total small business set-aside authority per FAR 19.5, with respondents required to verify their status via SAM.gov, providing details such as DUNS and CAGE codes, and describing their manufacturing and delivery capabilities. The response deadline is December 1, 2025, and submissions should be directed via email to the designated Contract Specialist. The document does not specify technical or contractual standards, inspection or acceptance procedures, or detailed performance or delivery schedules, as it is intended only for industry capability assessment. No formal contract clauses, evaluation factors, or line-item pricing data are included, and there are no attachments, special packaging, or marking instructions outlined. Respondents are asked to provide company background, product literature, certifications, and relevant experience, but the RFI does not contain a formal Statement of Work or specific contractual requirements. This activity aims to identify qualified small business sources capable of manufacturing the Dog Bone Chain for potential future solicitation and contract award.
