The Department of War, through the Joint Product Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Sensing, is conducting market research via Request for Information W911SR-27-RFI-EIDS to identify industry sources for an Identification Subsystem (IDS). This system is intended as a backward-compatible replacement for the Joint Biological Point Detection System Identifier and will be integrated into the U.S. Navy's Enhanced Maritime Biological Detection system. The IDS must provide automated, confirmatory identification of various Biological Warfare Agents, including bacteria, viruses, and toxins, from liquid samples. Key technical requirements include a compact, modular enclosure suitable for shipboard installation, the use of military-standard circular connectors, and compliance with naval surface ship environmental profiles, specifically referencing MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461. Interested respondents must submit a PDF response no later than December 7, 2026, including organization details, a capability statement, a gap analysis, and a Rough Order of Magnitude for cost and schedule. To access the restricted CUI Technical Specification Summary, vendors must provide evidence of security compliance, including a CMMC Level 2 self-assessment and adherence to DFARS 252.204-7012 and 252.204-7019/7020. The Joint Product Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Sensing (JPdM CS), under the Joint Project Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Integrated Early Warning (JPM CBRN IEW), under the Portfolio Management Executive Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (PME CBRND) within the Department of War (DoW), is conducting market research to identify potential industry sources capable of providing a Biological Warfare Agent (BWA) identification capability for integration into the U.S. Navy's Enhanced Maritime Biological Detection (EMBD) system.

As a backward-compatible replacement for the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) Identifier, the EMBD Identification Subsystem (IDS) automatically provides confirmatory identification of Biological Warfare Agents (BWAs) in liquid samples. In operation, the EMBD Collector gathers the sample externally and routes it to the IDS via the EMBD Fluid Transfer System (FTS).

Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Virtual Industry Day - Q&A RESPONSES INCLUDED
Solicitation # W56KGY-26-PNT-0002
The Department of Defense, through the Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, is conducting market research via solicitation W56KGY-26-PNT-0002 to identify commercially available, non-developmental M-Code Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions for mounted vehicles. The primary objective is to find affordable, production-ready solutions and Anti-Jam Antenna Systems (AJAS) that are compatible with Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) A-Kit mounts and space claims. These capabilities are intended to ensure operational effectiveness in environments characterized by adversary GPS denial and deception. As part of this effort, the Project Manager PNT hosted a virtual industry event on September 29, 2026, to discuss strategic updates, emerging opportunities in Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR), and collaborative partnerships. This action is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a commitment to award a contract. The government is evaluating various acquisition strategies, including Commercial Solutions Openings, Indefinite-Delivery Contracts, and Reverse Auctions. Interested industry partners are required to provide technical data, production capacity for up to 10,000 units per year, and cost estimates for one, three, and five-year contract durations. Additionally, respondents must disclose their foreign ownership status, CMMC certification levels, and facility security clearances. Ultrasound Diagnostic System, Hand Carried (USHC) - Prototype
Solicitation # W91CRB-RPP-USHC
The Portfolio Acquisition Executive Maneuver Ground, Project Manager Maneuver Medical Systems is soliciting proposals for a hand-carried Ultrasound Diagnostic System (USHC) to support medical operations in austere Role of Care 3 environments. This effort is being conducted as a Direct Other Transaction Agreement under 10 U.S.C. 4022 and is not a FAR-based contract. The government seeks a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf or Non-Developmental Item that is FDA cleared for human use and Trade Agreements Act compliant. Selected vendors will deliver two prototype units for operational and environmental testing in accordance with MIL-STD-810H. A key incentive of this OTA is that a noncompetitive follow-on production contract may be awarded to the prototype participants without further competition. Proposals are due by 1600 EST on November 20, 2026, and must be submitted via DoD SAFE or secure email to the Agreements Officer. Submissions must be organized into four volumes covering the executive summary, technical approach, management and past performance, and a holistic cost proposal. Evaluation will be based on a comparative best-fit methodology, where non-cost factors such as technical approach, schedule realism, and past performance are weighted more heavily than price. The estimated period of performance is twelve months starting in FY27 Q1, with prototype delivery expected 45 to 60 days after award. The system must operate as a standalone device and comply with NIST SP 800-171 for handling Controlled Unclassified Information.
