AI Contract Overview
The Air Force 415 Supply Chain Management Squadron has issued a Request for Information to identify qualified sources for the manufacture and repair of the Gear Box Assembly (NSN 3010-01-315-5148, Part 200927771) used in the AN/MST-T1 (V) Miniature Multiple Threat Emitter System. Because the original equipment manufacturer's capabilities have diminished, the government is seeking suppliers who can utilize the existing technical data package to produce the component and provide recommendations on advanced materials and hardening methods to improve durability and service life. Interested parties must submit their company information, relevant experience, proposed fabrication materials, hardening processes, estimated production timelines, and rough order of magnitude costs. Responses are due by October 19, 2026. This is strictly an information-gathering effort for planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a commitment to award a contract. Access to the technical data package requires a valid DD 2345 and Joint Certification Program registration.

The 415 Supply Chain Management Squadron (SCMS) – Air Force (AF) – is looking for more sources that can manufacture and repair a gearbox used on the AN/MST‑T1 (V) Mini-MUTES system. The Air Force (AF) owns a full technical data package (TDP) required to produce this gearbox. The 415 SCMS is also seeking recommendations on how to harden the gears using different materials and hardening methods.

2.0 BACKGROUND
The AN/MST‑T1 (V) Threat Emitter System relies on a specialized gearbox that has historically been supported through an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). As the OME’s capability diminished, the Air Force (AF) is seeking a qualified supplier capable of producing and repairing the gearbox using the complete technical data package (TDP) already in possession. Modernizing sustainment for this component also includes evaluating improved gear hardening materials and processes to increase durability, reduce wear, and extend service life under operational loads.
Requests for the technical data package (TDP) can be sent to the contracting officer and contracting specialist identified in section 4 of this RFI. Requests must have a copy of your company’s DD 2345 (Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement) and Joint Certification Program (JCP) registration.
