Request for Information (RFI) Portable Electric Kitchen Systems

This RFI supports a potential effort for the Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) regarding a Portable Electric Kitchen Systems acquisition program. The RFI is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to: 1) identify the prevalent, common industry business practices in portable feeding systems, and 2) identify potential sources for the competition of the USAF's Field Feeding Systems acquisition program. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. Note that this RFI will in part assist the Air Force in determining set-aside potential. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. A DRAFT Purchase Description and Statement of Work are included which provide a description of the Field Feeding requirement. The requirement is divided into a small kitchen (Expeditionary Electric Kitchen, or EEK) and a large kitchen (9-2 Kitchen). Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for this acquisition are for 32 EEKs and 124 9-2 Kitchens for fiscal years (FY) 14 - 21. Quantities are subject to change.
