The Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry feedback on a Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) related to the Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This RFI aimed to gather questions, clarifications, and comments from potential contractors to help refine the program requirements ahead of a formal solicitation expected in Fiscal Year 2018. Respondents were asked to identify their socio-economic status, NAICS code 541611, and provide details if they hold a GSA Schedule contract, including special item numbers. The RFI emphasized that responses are voluntary, informational, and not offers or binding commitments, with the government not liable for any costs incurred during the response process. An Industry Day was conducted on May 25, 2017, to further facilitate engagement and dialogue between the government and interested firms. The event included sharing relevant documentation such as attendee lists, briefing presentations, and transcripts to assist in clarifying the requirement. The solicitation number associated with this effort is DOLRFI-17VETS, with primary contact points including Contract Specialist Brett W. Pickett and Contracting Officer Rachel E. Johnson. All communications and submissions were coordinated through these contacts, and responses were limited to 15 pages excluding cover and table of contents. The RFI serves as a preparatory step in the acquisition process to ensure alignment and readiness for the forthcoming formal solicitation.
