Request for Information - SaskPower Nanogrid / Remote Power System Solutions

SaskPower is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to better understand commercially available, proven hybrid power system solutions capable of serving a remote customer in northern Saskatchewan following the planned removal of an existing radial distribution line. This RFI is issued solely for information-gathering and market-sounding purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation, offer, tender, or commitment of any kind, and does not form part of any competitive procurement process. Responses will be used on a non-exclusive and non-evaluative basis to: • improve SaskPower’s understanding of available system architectures, configurations, and integration approaches for remote hybrid power systems; • understand solution operating history, performance characteristics, and deployment experience in remote and cold climate conditions; • explore how commercially available systems address reliability, maintainability, resilience, fuel usage, storage, controls, and lifecycle considerations in comparable environments; and • inform internal planning and decision-making activities, including potential refinement of requirements and the possible development of a future procurement approach.
