AI Contract Overview
The Department of Defense is conducting market research to identify capable sources for the production and qualification of the Power Control Module (PCM) and High Bandwidth Assembly (HBA) used in the BRU-57/A Smart Bomb Rack for F-16 C/D aircraft. The PCM manages electrical power distribution, while the HBA facilitates high-speed data communication between the aircraft and smart weapons. Due to a lack of government-owned technical data and schematics, L3Harris is currently identified as the only source with the necessary expertise and data to ensure equipment compatibility. Consequently, the DLA Aviation at Warner Robins intends to award a sole source contract to L3Harris. Interested parties with the capability to meet these requirements must submit their interest to the primary point of contact by October 20, 2026.
