Request for Qualifications for Managed Information Technology (IT) Services

The City of Canton is seeking qualified Information Technology service providers to deliver comprehensive managed IT services under solicitation PE-66114-NONST-2027-000000037, also referenced as RFP 66114-27-RFP-0707. Proposals must be submitted as hard copy only, with one bound physical copy and one electronic copy on a flash drive in PDF format, and must be delivered to the City’s Main Office at 110 Academy Street, Canton, Georgia 30114 by 3:00 PM local time on August 27, 2026. E-mailed submissions will not be accepted, and proposals exceeding 30 pages, excluding title pages, table of contents, and resumes, will be disqualified. Questions must be submitted via email to rfp.review@cantonga.gov no later than August 7, 2026, with clarifications to be posted publicly on the City’s website by August 12, 2026. The selected vendor will provide end-user support both on-site and remotely, emergency after-hours support for critical incidents with a 30-minute response requirement, setup and configuration of servers and network infrastructure, vendor management liaison services, quarterly network health reviews with plain-language reports and vulnerability assessments, strategic IT advisory (vCIO) services up to two times per year, and backup and disaster recovery oversight with backups occurring no less than every eight hours and annual restore testing. All services must comply with defined SLAs, including documented ticketing, and the contractor must maintain an incident response plan. Proposals will be evaluated on a best-value basis, prioritizing qualifications and experience of personnel, project approach and innovation, firm capacity and past performance, references, and proposed costs as a significant but not sole determining factor. Mandatory documentation includes a Contractor Information Form, Vendor Conflict of Interest Certification, Vendor Statement of Tax Status, E-Verify Federal Work Authorization, and an affidavit under O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91 certifying use of E-Verify throughout the contract term, with failure to use it constituting material breach. Contractors must carry commercial insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, provide workers' compensation certification, and disclose any debarment or suspensions. Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure are billed as pass-through costs based on actual consumption, while out-of
