Request for Quotes (FM 2218 Finish Cut Mowing)

The City of Rosenberg is seeking quotes for finish cut mowing services for 11.77 acres of specified sections of FM 2218. The scope of work includes mowing, string line trimming along curbs, sidewalks, fences, trees, and sign poles, as well as litter pick up and blowing loose clippings from paved surfaces. Grass must be maintained at a height between one and five inches with 100 percent traverse coverage. The service schedule consists of 20 annual cycles, occurring every two weeks during the growing season from April 1 to October 31 and monthly during the non-growing season from November 1 to March 31. Each cycle must be completed within seven working days, with maintenance performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The contract is scheduled to commence on November 1, 2026, and continue until September 30, 2028, with options for four additional one-year renewals upon mutual agreement. Contractors must adhere to TxDOT traffic control guidelines, OSHA safety standards, and maintain a 5-gallon spill kit per crew. Performance will be monitored by the Public Works Director or a designee, with monthly inspections required for work acceptance. This is not a formal solicitation, and a contract may or may not be formed from the request.
