Request for Space - Helibase (helipad, office, storage) Northern Michigan

The Hiawatha National Forest, under the Department of Agriculture, is issuing a sources sought notice for a helibase facility in northern Michigan. The government is seeking interest in available space that includes approximately 1,650 square feet of office space, 800 square feet of warehouse or storage space, and a dedicated pad capable of accommodating one helicopter. The required facility must be located within specific delineated areas near Marquette, including the city limits of Marquette, Negaunee, and Ishpeming, as well as Chocolay, West Branch, and Sands Townships. Additionally, acceptable locations include Negaunee Township south of 41, Forsyth Township north of 35, and Ishpeming Township south of 41, with specified two-mile buffers for the township locations. Interested parties must respond by October 30, 2026.
