Research in Propulsion Sciences III (RPS III) Industry Day

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Air Force Research Laboratory, Propulsion Directorate (AFRL/RQ-W), Edwards AFB, CA is hosting an on-site industry day for the Research in Propulsion Sciences III (RPS III) requirement. The industry day is scheduled for 7 October 2014 at the AFRL Rocket Science Center (RSC) Building 8424 Edwards AFB, CA 93524. Details regarding the industry day agenda can be found on the attached RPS III Industry Day Information Sheet. ACCESS TO THE FACILITY: The AFRL/RQ-W facility is restricted to approved visitors only. In order to attend the industry day, visitors must complete and return a Visitor's Pre-Announcement Notification by Close of Business (COB) Thursday 2 October 2014 in order to allow adequate time to process the notification and grant access to the facility. The notification can be found as an attachment to this posting. Forward the completed notification to Mrs. Jo Ann La Rue at joann.larue@us.af.mil. Please note that the number of personnel from each company attending the industry day is restricted to a maximum of 3 individuals. OTHER INFORMATION: The initial posting will include the RPS III Industry Day Information Sheet, Visitor's Pre-Announcement Notification, and the DRAFT Statement of Work. Additional information and attachments will be posted to this notice when available. The Industry Day presentation will accessible before the scheduled event. However, this presentation will be limited to "Distribution C" qualified recipients only. Distribution C information will only be available to authorized U.S. Government Agencies and their contractors. In order to receive the presentation, visitors must provide their company's current DD Form 2345. If a company does not have a current DD Form 2345, please send the following information to timothy.palen@us.af.mil: Company Name, DUNs Number, and Cage Code. This information will be used to verify the visiting company has a current Government contract and can receive Distribution C information. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. RPS III GENERAL INFORMATION: The objective of the RPS III effort is to provide on-site research and development (R&D) to the AFRL across a wide spectrum of propulsion related areas. AFRL/RQ-W located at Edwards AFB, CA is part of the Air Force Materiel Command and conducts research at the Edwards Research Site (ERS). The contract focuses on R&D and the engineering to transition these technologies to the warfighter. This acquisition will be conducted as a 100% small business set-aside IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.5 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541712 - "Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (Except Biotechnology)." The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. PURPOSE OF INDUSTRY DAY: AFRL/RQ-W intends to host the industry day as a means to provide information of the requirement, field questions, receive industry feedback, and to familiarize potential offerors with the location.
