AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the supply of a fixed composition resistor, NSN 5905-01-258-3934, manufactured by Ohmite Holding, L.L.C. with part number 826AS061, under solicitation SPE7M1-26-U-4677 issued by the Defense Logistics Agency through the Maritime Supply Chain office of the Department of Defense. The estimated quantity is 78 units, with a guaranteed minimum order of 11 units upon award and a total contract ceiling of $350,000. Delivery is required 118 days after award, with FOB Origin pricing terms applying, meaning the contractor bears all transportation costs and risks until the goods reach the point of origin. The contract structure is an indefinite delivery contract, potentially under an IDIQ framework, allowing for future task orders subject to the overall value cap. Compliance with all military and industry standards is mandatory, including packaging per MIL-STD-2073-1E and preservation per the latest revision of MIL-DTL-39032 for resistors. Marking requirements are stringent: each unit pack must be labeled according to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609 to indicate lead or lead-free finish, and all shipment containers must adhere to MIL-STD-129 for barcoding and labeling. Special marking code ZZ-ZZ signifies additional contract-specific requirements. Strict environmental and safety restrictions apply: the use of any Class I ozone-depleting substances in manufacturing, testing, or cleaning is prohibited unless a written exception is granted by the Contracting Officer, and mercury or mercury-containing compounds are banned from direct contact with the item except in narrowly defined applications such as batteries, fluorescent lamps, sensors, or naval-specified reagents, with portable devices requiring dual containment to prevent leakage in accordance with NAVSEA 5100-003D. All shipments must use U.S.-flagged vessels unless a waiver is secured 45 days in advance, with detailed shipping documentation including bills of lading required within 30 days of shipment. The contractor must also notify the Contracting Officer in writing prior to shipping any item containing radioactive material exceeding 0.002 microcuries per gram or 0.01 microcuries per item, including isotopic details. Inspection and acceptance occur at destination, and the government retains full authority to reject non-conforming items. Payment must be submitted electronically via Wide
